This barn style home presented a unique opportunity to create a contemporary kitchen that respected the character and architecture of the original building. The client wanted to bring the interiors up to date without feeling overly modern. To achieve this balance, we paired expressive LEICHT Madero veneer doors, with their vivid grain, knots and organic character, alongside lacquered doors in a muted tone, creating a considered balance of warmth and depth.

Designed around the client’s love of cooking, the kitchen combines generous preparation space with high-end appliances and a striking Dekton Keyla worktop. The Madero veneer was also carried through into the open-plan office and hallway furniture, creating a seamless connection between the spaces. The result is a contemporary yet timeless interior that remains sympathetic to the warmth and character of the original barn-style architecture.
